The purpose of this Church is to proclaim Jesus Christ and His Gospel, to build a Christian fellowship in the community through worship, religious education and Christian service; and to advance in the world the Kingdom of God in cooperation and fellowship with all Christian Churches; to render loving service toward all people.

Open and Affirming Statement
In response to God’s unconditional love for all people made known to us in Jesus Christ, we are called to be a welcoming and affirming community. The First Congregational Church of Lebanon, CT welcomes young and old, families, couples, singles, rich and poor, persons of various races, ethnicities, backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions, differing physical and mental abilities, believers, and seekers.
