I have decided it’s time for me to retire as pastor of the First Congregational Church of Lebanon. I have been honored to serve you for 25 years. I have always felt supported and respected. My resignation will be effective as of Friday July 10, 2015.
To make this decision has been difficult because I have loved being your pastor and being part of such a caring community. The Board of Deacons will be working with our Regional Minister in selecting an interim to start when I leave. A search committee nominated by our church council and voted on by our congregation will be formed. The search committee will eventually recommend a candidate to the congregation to serve as your pastor.
I hope to see you Sunday April 12th to express personally my plans and my appreciation to all of you.
