On the day before the Boston Marathon, our Confirmand Class visited Boston’s Trinity Episcopal Church and witnessed a Blessing of the Marathoners. It was a moving service that ended with the organ booming out Chariots of Fire at the end. After the service, the students and mentors visited The New England Holocaust Museum before walking the streets for some sight seeing. Before the drive back, all enjoyed lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. It was a great day and some great memories were made like: the girls following the slowest car ever (the car with the boys), the cutest dog in the scooter basket (yes it was a real dog), driving and walking in what seemed to be circles, and then the boy’s car deciding to go fast and leave the girls in the dust when leaving the city (the girls found their way home anyway).
